I may be with a snotty nose and bunged up, I have a croaky voice as it struggles to make a sound and my ears are a bit duff with this whole cold thing BUT when I look at you like that, you know you’ve been told as my daughter just found out!
If you knew the exact day and time you were going to die, would you live your life differently?
I posted this here.
I’ve lost my voice. I’m not achy or fluey, my throat doesn’t hurt particularly. But I have no voice. I’m having a good silent laugh about this as I’ve never had this before and it just amuses me, I may not go into work tomorrow!
I may be dying (so I have a cold), but I still soldier on and managed to make chicken soup and kneydls (matzo balls).
I did it more for something to do as I still don’t really have an appetite.

Thats one darn good recipe for flu innoculation!
mmmmm Matzo ....
You're getting jewisher and jewisher every time I peek in here! I have never had matzo balls, but I want to try them. I call my dog matzoball as a nickname and it always makes me wonder what they taste like. I imagine it like a dumpling.
In the four years I’ve worked for this company today is my first day off sick. I am totally useless when I have a cold, it is a pretty bad one, but then being a guy I was never going to be a good patient. Living on my own has meant I had to call this shot as in the past I was told ‘’you’re not going to work like that bla bla bla’’.
I miss being part of my family. All that fussing! My decision, right or wrong.
Anyway, I’m home, after making the relevant calls I went back to bed. That I liked. I have no appetite so I’m nibbling bits if only to have something inside me to soak up my tablets.
Daytime T.V. People watch this crap?! I’ve noticed that on the Oldies Film Channel they have The Man Who Shot Liberty Vallance, I love these old B&W’s.
For now I’m off to bed again.

Aww poor baby! Get well soon, and have that new girlfriend fed you plenty! and make sure you drink fluids..
I would love to take a picture of my route into work as one part of the main road has a plethora (thanks Req..) of colour. The variety of reds and browns mixed with gold is a natural beauty.
This is a picture from my kitchen over looking the front of the house. Autumn really is here. My white car across the road was completely covered (teach me to park under a tree) but the wind has done me a favour of removing most of it.

Every time I have a bath I say to myself that I must do this more often. Showers are just so quick and convenient that to spend time pampering myself just seems a waste of time. The truth is I love it. I don’t do the girlie thing with rose petals and candles but I did have to decide between a stress or body soak (they call it a bath soak therapy – posh huh). As I couldn’t decide I added a bit of both. I didn’t care if they actually work, is all I know is I had lots of bubbles. I made a pillow out of a folded towel and played some nice music and just relaxed. Bliss.
So Bonfire night went without a hitch. The guy was burnt with dignity in a great ceremony with the kids screaming to burn him upside down.
The firework display was brilliant and always reminds me of my own childhood when we'd spell our names with sparklers. The air was full of hazy smoke giving a wonderful eerie effect to the night and that smell of burning which just hung in the air, for some reason it just added to a great night.
Hot jacket potatoes and hot-dogs and burgers eaten through mittens and gloved fingers was a great way to keep warm in a chilly autumn evening.
We do it for the kids …. Yea right!

A friend in Scotland kindly let me view Fawkes night via his webcam....I was amazed, what a sight! All those fireworks going off! Would loved to have been there.
I think, as an adult we always cherish those memories we enjoyed as a child..
I didn’t walk her to her car, I watched from my kitchen window as she pulled away and turned the corner to head back to London. I lingered by the window smiling, she’d stayed the night. She was suppose to have come up earlier in the week but … Anyway, this was a great way to kick off my birthday weekend. My smile quickly dropped when I saw my friend and his wife walking up the street from the other way. The girl that just left my flat is the sister of my friends’ wife, err, how does ‘FaceBook’ put it on relationship statuses? ‘’It’s complicated’’, to say the very least! Bottom line is no one knows!
I went down to let them in, I kept thinking ‘did they see her’. My friend just said we had to park a little down the street and that he had a case of larger in the boot. I knew by this that I had gotten away with it. My grin was back and his wife on noticing this simply said ‘’what’s up?’’ then she wished me a happy birthday and I just said I was happy to see them here, well I was!!
